TrueNas Scale :: oPodSync (former micro-gpodder-server)

This post is a quick explanation of how to deploy oPodSync inside your TrueNas Scale using Docker.

Firstly the project oPodSync doesn’t provide an official Docker image, so I fell-back on an image built and provided by Massimo ‘Bill’ Zannoni Who is “promising” that it’s an image without any customization. Seeing it’s Dockerfile it seems true.

Two solutions are available, deploying a Docker image, or using Docker-compose. Bill provide the both solutions.

I use Docker compose solution, for this option, you’ll just have to get the docker-compose.yaml from Bill and adapt it to TrueNas and your preferences. Mine look like:

services:
opodsync: # I choosed to use the lastest build from Bill instead of building in the fly
    container_name: opodsync
    image: billznn/opodsync_dckr:latest
    ports:
      - '[PUBLIC_PORT]:80'
    restart: unless-stopped
user: '568:568' # TrueNAS User and Group dedicated to apps
    volumes:
      - [/your/directory/to/oPodSync/data]:/var/www/html/data
